My computer has been really slow on starting up lately. I've done all the usual "housekeeping" and I've tried using "selective start up", but I don't really know what to tick/untick there. Can anyone help?
Give me a rough idea of the "housekeeping" you've carried out. There are loads of reasons for slow startup.Fragmented hard disk...fragged memory..low memory resources. Please be careful with selective startup. If you are not sure what you are doing you may stop important system services from loading etc; Try and give me more info on your startup problem and we'll take it from there!.....
Hi beebrook39, thanks for taking the time to reply. I've managed to sort it out myself by going back to using normal start up and so far everything is running smoothly again. I must've disabled something I shouldn't by running the selective mode. Thanks anyway!
