Digital phone's batteries

I have a set of 3 BT Digital phones, I find that the batteries soon run down. If I buy new ones should the hand-sets be left on their stations constantly on charge or does this shorten the batteries life?

it doesn't necessarily shorten the battery life and most modrn batteries don't need a discharge
However buy the highest capacity you can get eg 2500mah
