My son has his CV in PDF format and a prospective employer wants him to send it in Word.

Is this possible without buying the software which will work out very expensive for one CV. Any help really appreciated. Thank you in advance.

try this link http://www.pdf995.com/ it will convert to word or convert anything to a pdf file - whatever you need - and its free!
Can he not just retype it? It'll only be 2 pages maximum
. . . or even copy and paste it into a blank Word document.

Thanks everyone, but no luck so far although trying to download from zimzam's link.

stevie - HR want it send via email in Word format.

gen2 - That would be ideal, but no Copy and Paste symbol on document, only that flaming hand that I cannot get rid of!
if you are having problems finding the actual download here's a link that will take you there direct. You need to download all 3 items http://www.pdf995.com/download.html
It's unusual since pdf is a better format for this sort of thing than word documents anyway, I think they're a bit daft requesting a word file.

At the top of adobe reader should be a little "I" type button, which you can click which enables you to highlight the CV. (I'm assuming you have latest version of adobe reader.) Then just copy and paste to Word.

Otherwise, as stevie says, just retype it in Word!

Phew, finally done it!

Thank you everyone for your help as I used all your answers. It wasn't the latest format so couldn't Cut & Paste in the usual way but found it via the graphics selection of all things and not text as would be expected.

Great download zimzam, am keeping those for myself.
