graphics cards

Hi people im relatively new to this site and pc games and im looking to play bia earned in blood but i dont have the graphics capabilities - 1: i have 64 meg shared graphics - if i install a card will it interfere with this or do i have to disable it first and 2 : i need more ram and it requires 512 meg shall i get 256 for minimun or 512 for max??? sorry if im a bit vague, i will add more later if you need it!!!

hi mate , first make sure what type of graphic card you need , either pci agp or pci express. then you need to turn off your internal card using built in bios.. send me an email

with regard to your shared graphics their will most likely be a option to turn it off in bios
your ram issue, it sounds like your thinking of keeping the old stuff, you may not have enough free slots to do so. expect to replace it. i would get a gig of ram as 512mb is not much.
out of interest what card are you installing?

Hi mack will probably try agp card but dont know what type yet ( for financial reasons!!!) same goes for mem..... i was going to get a 512 stick and yes i do have two slots so i may well get a gig instaed,

7800gs bfg would be a good gaming choice for agp. sm3, 16 pixel pipelines or a cheaper ati x800xl sm2, 16 ppl
you might want to get matched pairs with ram just incase your motherboard supports it rather than just one "big block"

Hi mack i have been looking at ati radeon x800 agp8x graphics and 1 gig of kingston ram on its own as opposed to pairs???? wot do you think???
