adverts on AB

I just uninstalled Norton becasue I have AVG free
I know have bloody adverts all over the screen on here I can also see the advert catagory for the first time.
what would Norton have had that AVG doesnt that blocked the adverts??

AVG is antivirus and won't affect what you see on the screen.

That is down to your settings and your firewall.

I don't see any ads on this page - I use firefox with adblocker.

AVG and ZoneAlarm firewall.

Norton may have a popup blocker, that AVG doesn't.

I'd recommend you turn off Windows firewall, and instead download zonealarm or kerio personal firewall (both free and better than windows' firewall).

Then use firefox for browsing:
