yahoo messenger

i had the up to date yahoo messenger and uninstalled it as i coulnt sign in now i have re installed it and has downloaded ok and face icon on my screen to sign in but wont let me sign it. I havent changed any settings just uninstalled and reinstalled tried a few times.Help please as I am tearing my hair out .My msn messenger is working fine only yahoo messenger won't let me sign in .Thanks for any help.
