Then you need a writable CD disk
Then you need some software to write to the CD (Windows Media player does this), it is called Burn.
Select the files you want to put on the CD
Then you need to burn the pictures in "data" format.
Then the pictures will appear as files on the CD.
That is it in simple terms, let us know if you need more details.

I have never used Windows Media Player to burn a CD so cannot give you detailed instructions.
Whatever product you use the sequence is as follows
Open the product (say Windows Media Player)
Select Data disc (the other option may be Audio disk)
Locate the directory where the pictures are and select the ones you want to put on CD.
When ready press the Burn button.
This should write the files to the CD. Probably best not to do anything else on the PC while this is happening.
After a time (depending on the number of files and the speed of your CD) it should say it has finished.
Look on your CD and the files should be there.
If possible take them to another PC to make sure you can see them on a different PC.

Henrys, vehelpful guy gave you a pretty clear answer, but this is a wee bit about windows media player, so Iam not trying to steal his thunder ha ha, click on the burn tab in windows media player, the player is split in two, left side says burn list, this is where you drag and drop your picture files to, on the right side is the cdr drive (E),it will probably say cdr drive E Audio cd, this is a drop down menu, click on it and select data cd, your media player will keep loading as many pics as you want, up to 700mb, keeping track as you go with how much space you have used, until it says "May not fit" and that's your limit, but you would need a lot to fill one cd, like hundreds, depending on their size. When the burn is finished it will say complete, and that's it.
