my phillips dvd player wont play any discs - it reads discs to the screen menu but i cant select any options such as play ,scene selection , extras and the screen on the dvd player reads "info"

Knackered. Best to buy a new one, Tesco do a basic player for under �20.
You wouldn't get a repair done for thet.

the player is probably ok, its the remote which isnt letting you navigate. to check,hold it next to a detuned am radio and press the keys, see if it bleeps!
