I've dragged and dropped some downloaded and cd music files from Windows Media Player onto my new mp3 player. These songs show up in the folders section of the mp3 but not on the main scroll menu (scrolls through songs 1/10, 2/10, 3/10 etc but each record is blank). Whatsmore I can't hear the songs at all.
What have I done wrong? I thought Media Player automatically converts song format, am I wrong?

Windows media player outputs music in wma format there is a good chance that your mp3 player cant play this format and needs the files in .mp3 format

check the manual to see what files it can play
Hi there. You will have to convert your wav files to mp3 before you drag them to you mp player. There are several software packages on the market. I use CREATIVE.
