Hi guys
I am wonderfing if any of you know how to connect a laptop to a tv so that i can watch dvds playing on my laptop on my tv?
At the moment when I go away I am taking my laptop and a portable dvd player with me and it would be great if I could leave the dvd player at home and use the laptop!
Many thanks

Many laptops now have S-Video out, which will carry the picture. Some have composite video out, others have nothing - though there are external devices that will enable you to use your lappy as a portable DVD player. Generally the easiest way is to get a SCART adapter (they normally accept S-Video, component video and have left/right phono sockets for sound and you can pick them up for a pound or two at your local "Right/CutPrice type store) and the requisite leads to connect the adapter to your lappy.

What make/model do you have?
