What's up with Windows?

I keep getting this highly irratation blue 'search' strip along my browser's action bars called 'chhbllyxee' [when I right-click the bar]. I can make it go away temporarily but then it always comes back.

Also, an Active Desktop icon along with about 10 other icons [casino, travel, card games etc.] keep appearing on my desktop. What's happening?
