How do I make an mp3 file into a ring tone?

Can I only use part of a song to take up less memory?

How do I choose the part I want?

Thanks very much.

If your phone can play mp3 files yes, Have you got Nero burning rom on your pc ?, if so open up NEW WAVE EDITOR, and drag the mp3 (Or any music file) into it. Here you can edit, cut or change the song, till your hearts content. Save as MP3. Then transfer to your phone, if your phone has Bluetooth use a bluetooth dongle. if not you can buy a lead to connect your phone to your PC
I use Audacity to select the bit I want, usually pick instrumental parts (about 30 seconds is long enough)
