I received an email this morning from a man informing me that many emails from me to him had been blocked by a virus checker. He requested that I remove him from my email address book. However, he is not listed and hasn't been for at least a year. He recommended I run a virus check. How do I do this?

You need an AV scanner, AVG is free if you click this > http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl_free.php Download, Install, Update and scan. The updating is important....

Thanks muchly both of you. Have gone to each and made use of both.
....don't forget that the virus may have changed the 'from' field and could be coming from someone elses' computer - so this man may still get them from 'you'.
The annoying thing about the SMTP protocol is that the "from" field is not verified so you can send an email to someone saying it's from the queen, if you want (as the virus has obviously done in your case. Well, not put the queen, unless you are the queen? in which case pardon me your majesty)
