Ipod Problem

My ipod wont work properly, when I turn it on it just displays an icon which is a folder with an exclamation mark, does anyone know how to fix it?

I'd suggest you try cascarelli's first link. One of the suggestions from Apple should sort it.

you can try all the links you like, and however unhelpful you may think my remark is, the simple fact the exclamation mark denotes a hard disk error and yes its cheaper to buy a new one
