Outlook Express

I have always used Outlook Express for e-mailing but I have developed a problem with hyperlinks. I used to just click on one and it would connect me to a web page but now when I click nothing happens. I have recently upgraded my Norton Internet Security and also to IE7, could either of these be preventing them from working/
