I am trying to send an attachment to an email address. Having mastered this!!! I have had a reply:

Cannot open document as it is in WPS can you save it in word and resend

You have used Microsoft Works to create and save your document.

Open the document in Works, Click File - Save As.

A box will pop up, and you will see Save as Type.

From the options choose the highest Word available. For me it is Word 6.

That should solve the problem.

WPS is the name for a document created with Microsoft Works Word Processor. You need to have Works installed on tour computer to open it.

Just like your name dumphuq. Read the question again, Ethel's answer is spot on. Later versions of MS Works will let you save in many more document types. Just look for one that says (.doc).
