Central heating controllers

I have an LP722 heating controller made by Siebe climate Controls Ltd Of West Drayton and am tryiing to find a direct replacement .. My present Boiler fitted 7 years ago keeps working even when power is off as indicated by the controller and can only be shut off by either the Room stat or the isolation switch. Problem is getting a qualified engineeer who can sus the problem.I keep coming back to the programmer.Any other suggestions?

It certainly sounds like the programmer is faulty to me and any good heating spares trade counter will sell compatable replacement programmers for it; if not the same one.
