6 Answers
I have a 4 ring Hygena gas hob set in the worktop. I can hear the spark under the hob but the rings aren't sparking to ignite, what do I need to do?

If you don't see a spark there when you press the button, yet you still hear the sound, it means the insulation is faulty, and the spark is occurring somewhere inside the hob instead of beside the gas rings.
It may or may not be repairable, mine (not Hygena) wasn't. So now I use one of those gas lighter thingies you can get for a quid.
