For the scroll buttons, try pressing the F7 key on its own.

Laptops tend to have special components in them, and when you install Windows it does not always know what these special components are, so they dont work.

So you need to install special drivers. It is not unusual on a laptop to have to install 10 or more drivers to get all these special things working.

Go to the web site of the people who make your laptop and download the correct drivers for your laptop and your version of Windows.

One other thing.

Judging by all your appends of the last day or so you have got yourself in a right mess with your laptop.

Can I suggest next time you do a bit more research about a project (any project) before leaping in like a headless chicken.

If you had asked a few questions BEFORE installing Vista, and doing whatever else you have done, you may have saved yourself a lot of hassle.
