Guess that would depend on where you where calling. Last time I was there I just bought phone cards and used them in public phones.
I did find them very difficult to use, especially Bell South, lost all my phone money and no call!
You need to put in 50 cents to make a call, even as a deposit on a free 1-800 call. The eventual/total cost of course depends on who you ring and for how long.

Thanks!
buy a ten dollar phone card, much easier to use.

That might be better. Where can you buy phone cards from?
Sorry to be difficult, but I also bought a phone card and I didn't have a clue how to use it. Had to get a passer by to do it for me. Maybe they are all the same nowadays, but in 2000, over here in Spain, we just popped it in the slot and dialled the no. we wanted and it would deduct from the card. Over there, there was a long no. that had to be dialled in, andd then the no we wanted, it took forever! Have never used a phone card since anywhere!
