Any reccommendations for free PC doctor downloads?

My laptops sytem is becoming unstable.I suspect some new files and downloaded a PC doctor program.It found suspect files allright but it costs a lot to buy.As I am poor at the moment I wondered if anyone could reccommend a similar program which is free to use?

I've got a couple of suggestions. Firstly, there's a website called www.pcpitstop.com. I've found them very good. They'll test your machine and make suggestions, give instructions for them and even correct them if possible. (Not much good if you've got trouble with your modem though.) The other suggestion is a program I have, FixIt Utilities. If you're interested I'll leave my email address.
