psp wont play video

i have transfered a music vid to my sons psp but it is not showing on his machine / its an mpeg file , does it need to be transfered to another type ? the memory on the psp does decrease but under video it says no files.....

if its a mp4 format it should work---i use avs video converter 4 to convert all types of video dvd etc to mp4 for psp and then use psp max media software to transfer it to the psp.

maybe the video bitrate/resolution is too high.
And there is an naming rule if your psp is older version.

PSP only supports mp4 format video, if the video you download isn't mp4 format, you can�t add it to your PSP, so you must use some converter tools(you can google a lot) to help you convert the video to mp4 format.
