Seat Warranty Work
3 Answers
I have a 2 and a 1/2 year Seat Leon which I purchased from new from an approved dealer, have had serviced regularly since and have only done 28k miles in it.
The car was serviced a couple of weeks ago and I was told there was an engine noise, I took it to an approved Seat Repairers and they have subsequently decided it has massive engine problems and needs a complete replacement engine but because I had been allowed to drive it away from the service centre (some 12-miles) my car may not be covered under the warranty.
My sister also had a Seat Ibiza with the same engine, same age and approx same mileage. The oil pump failed and the exact same thing happened with her car and after some 2-months Seat finally agreed and fitted a new engine into her car under the warranty.
Has anyone else had a problem with Seat's failing due to oil starvation which results in the engine requiring major work or even replacing, and if so did you manage to get it done under the warranty.
Thanks
Alison
