Free Microsoft Office Type Package?

Is there anywhere I can download a free Microsoft Office type package? Mainly for the word processor and spreadsheet, but something that Word and Excel documents are compatible with.

Superb software - absolutely free!

It can read and write Office documents (spreadsheets, presentations, and docs)

After installation you probably need to tell it to use the Office document types as a default, otherwise when you create a new document it will be in its native format (although if you open an existing Office document, it will assume that you want to save it in its original format).

Remember to set the Writer default to Word, otherwise other people using Word won't be able to read it.

It is an excellent programme.
