Ihave just purchased S.T.A.L.K.E.R but the computer refuses to load it and says that my pagefile is too low.
What is a pagefile and how do I remedy this? I have a good video card and just under half a hard disk space free. Grateful for any help.

Restart your computer, and don't load any programs up (apart from windows essential programs of course); then try running it. Work that time?
