Mobile phone sound mute

I have a Samsung X640 and cant seem to get the sound to mute when I send texts. Ive turned all the sounds off but it still plays an annoying tune when I after Ive sent a text. Its a problem at work in the office as we arent supposed to have sound turned on mobiles there. Anyone got any ideas how to mute it for sending texts.

have you tried going into profile s or phone settings and message settings?

have u tried just holiding down the hash key to put it in/ out of silent mode....i know im probably stating the obvious but it took me ages on my new samsung to figure out how to do it.
