A friend complains that the pix (jpegs) I send her, attached to e-mails, are too large to view on her computer - she has to scroll up, down & across and can't see them as 'complete' pictures. How do I advise her to sort this? I think she uses Windows 98 if that's anything to do with it!

Resize the photos for email! Go to http://www.sjknetwork.com/tutorials
If you friend goes into Tools>Internet Options>Advanced, then scrolls down to the Multimedia section, then checks the box that says Enable Automatic Image Resizing, then clicks Apply, any image bigger than the screen should be resized automatically.
I don't know if the above answer works on emails - it does on normal webpages.
Her screen resolution may be different from yours. a picture which seems to fit nicely on a 1024/768 screen could be very large on a 800/600. 800/600 is still a very common screen resolution.
Mine is 98 carlos and sadly it doesn't work in e-mail attachments. My first attempts at picture Imaging and Resizing nearly cost me a friend!

Even though I now have about 4 different Imaging programs the one I tend to stick to is also totally free. Its called Irfanview and is simplicity itself with Resizing made easy.
