MSN video call

my webcam has a built in mic which i am plugging into the mic socket When making a video call. i have the line in volume turned up but cant hold down left click to raise the mic volume slider on the msn window past the minimum hence i can see and hear the other person but they can only see but not hear me.

Any suggestions?

double-click your volume control icon in the taskbar/system tray (or open it from Control Panel)

Click on Options then Properties

Click on Recording and then check to see if the microphone is chosen as the input
