Aside from the obvious of putting a dvd into the machine is there any other way of knowing if a dvd player is multi-regional? Also my dvd player is about 5 years old and is region 2, is there a button or menu option that will allow either region 1 or 3 dvds to play on it. Thanks

Can't think of any way to tell if your dvd player is multi-regional but if it is 5 years old, it's highly doubtful.

You can key a code with your remote control that will make it multi-regional though.

What make/model is it?

Thanks, I will try that. Has anyone personally had success from using this method?
I have hacked all my dvd players - all different makes. It has always worked for me, although I don't have an LG
