easiest way to set up a webcam?

i'm looking to set up an online webcam and have it on free hosting, i have no idea how to do it. has anyone done this?

There are loads of places on the web which will host your site for free. (Just Google 'free web space'). Your ISP almost certainly gives you some free space anyway.

You simply set up a web page which includes a jpeg image from your webcam. The webpage should include HTML code which forces it to periodically refresh itself:
http://informatics.open.ac.uk/www/refresh/

Then all you need is some software to periodically capture stills from your webcam and send them, via FTP, to the server which hosts your webpage:
http://www.download.com/BooruWebCam/3000-2348_ 4-10173829.html?tag=lst-0-1

i should have mentioned that i don't know the first thing about html code etc, but will have a crack at the links you mention.
