how do you get the volume back on the sky remote controls?

For Sky
To perform a RESET press [TV] and then hold [select] and [red button] together for around two seconds (until the red light blinks twice). Now press 999 (red light blinks once for a long time and then twice quickly).
For Sky+
TV
Hold Blue+select until LED flash twice

Sky
This will reset your remote back to factory settings

You need to find the code for your TV so you can program the controller to operate the sound on your TV again.

Quite often if your batteries run out and are left out for more than 10 mins, this wipes the code from the ROM chip in the handset.
