free downloads to remove viruses

i need some free downloads to remove viruses from my pc. i currently am using ccleaner, se personel adware, spybot search and destroy and a2 squared. are there any more that i can download to make my pc run smoother?

HitmanPro is fantastic at removing some nasties like spyware. Can't recommend it highly enough.
Also, AVG do a free antivirus prog. Zonealarm do a free firewall.

Firstly, those programmes will remove adware/spyware, and not necessarily traditional viruses. If you did mean adware/spyware, then I would suggest you have something a bit more serious if your pc is still running slow.

Do you have up-to-date virus removal software? How often do you empty out your tempory internet files folder (as this can slow down the speed of you pc). How much ram do you have on your machine? There could be many things such as this that will slow your pc down and not just necessarily viruses or adware/spyware.

I dont recommend AVG personal edition as I have encountered numeruous machines that have infections.

House call is great for ad hoc scanning but does not provide constant protection.

One of the better Free AV Program is by Avast www.avast.com

Dont get mixed up with Anti-virus and Anti-spyware. They are technically different so you must run both AV and AS programs together (If they dont come in one package like McAfee etc)
