I got Sky on the tail end of November last year and had no trouble with it in the first few weeks.
However, after a few weeks i experienced serious disconnections and lag spikes and all sorts that were making me very annoyed. I became a member of sky user

and i couldnt believe the amount of people that were having the same trouble as me so i tried everything to get them to sort it and after reading lods and loads of info i can tell you this.
The Netgear router is flashed with Sky's own firmware that sucks
When your noise margin drops below 5.2db you get cut off
You are placed on an interleaving connection that shoots your ping up so forget gaming.
You can never get through to Teir 3 Tech support to get the cap removed
Never download Sky anytime because you effectively share files between clients when you download them so its no better than Kazaa.
Visit Sky User and you will be gobsmacked with the amount of trouble you get.
