Trojan Horse
Sorry guys, another lost soul looking for help with a Trojan.
AVG keeps finding Trojan Horse PSW Generic4.AXI. The file is listed as c:\windows\system32\dllms.dll
It also comes up as System Volume Information\restore(33BE50CA etc, etc) Does this mean it's in system restore?
It's popped up the last 3 days and AVG (bless it) keeps finding it and transferring it to the vault.
Interesting that AVG finds it but not Adaware or Spybot.
Can I get rid of it myself, or should I take the PC to my friendly computer shop for eradication?

Most of these scanners operate differently and wont always show the same results.
Theres a good program called HiJack This. It scans your pc and then you upload the results to a web site where it tells you whats dangerous and whats supposed to be there.
Trojans can be a pain in the rear end to get rid of and in the first instance its better to get the fix first, but in future keep things monitored.
Once you get these sort of things you'll end up spending more time protecting your data than you will actually looking at it lol
