What phone ?

All home domestic phones come with a std plug which fit NTL & BT sockets - if that helps.

i once got a phone with a caller id on it and this would not work on my cable line

You have to tell them to enable caller ID - we have cable and we have it enabled and the Telephone number of who's claling or name if it's in the memory displays when that person is calling. I think there's a small cost involved.

Phone 152 from your cable phone and ask them about caller ID
