Custom html on my new message board

When i go into the control panel on my message board there a section that says 'custom panel' and under that it says 'Header, Add html code to the top of your board' How do u do this though??

basically html is a code where you can change text font, colour size, add animation, pictures, music, change the appearance of a page (scroll bar and background colours for example), and add practically anything to a webpage. the easiest way to do it is to type "html tag" into google, for example, and there are hundreds of websites with codes to copy and paste.
