What you need apart from the actual freeview box is a scart lead , from box into back of tv.. Then , if you do not have an aerial wall socket in the bedroom , you need to buy a portable aerial to plug into the back of the freeview box.
The type of portable aerial will have to be a strong booster type that stipulates it will pick up freeview channels .
You can get one at most electrical stores or on line . :-)

Hope you get your freeview box to work but we moved house recently and discovered to our dismay that the area we moved to did not pick up the freeview signal.
Luckily we have cable in the bedroom but as for the lounge we got the same signal as you did. It was then a a neighbour told us this area does not receive freeview signals. I would check with the store that you bought it from as to whether you can get a signal at the moment. That is the reason they ask your address when you buy a freeview box.
Good Luck anyway.
