Reading wks files.

I have been given a disc to work from but it contains files that are marked wks file . The file icon is the same as internet explorer. Can I access them at all?I cant easilyu ask the person who saved them to redo the disc since she has gone on sick leave .

If I remember rightly these could well be Quattro Pro spreadsheets, and I think wks stands for worksheet. You may be able to open them using Excel. By the way, this was an excellent spreadsheet program - way better than Excel.
.wks files are Microsoft Works Spreadsheet files

Cheers all. :) That clears up the mystery .I thought it was something weird that she had pon her home computer.It was the IE icon that threw me - if thats any excuse.
