I am on a website that lets you watch tv shows but it keeps stopping and starting and takes ages to get to the end, probably longer than the show actually lasts I would say. Is there anything I can do to make it run more smoothly.

I would suggest letting the show run for at least ten minutes before you start watching it, and drag it back to the beginning.

This will hopefully make it run more smoothly.

Is your BB speed good?

I don't know what the speed is for sure, is there any way to check it. We have wireless broadband through a small satellite dish type device and the transmitter is siuated 4 or 5 miles away I think..
When it starts playing, pause it, then wait for the progess bar to get to the end, then watch it.

Test your speed here, and report the numbers back:

Tried that speedtest website fo3nix and it said the download speed was 240kb/s and the upload speed was 73kb/s. Is that good, bad or average?
