Is there any way to save favourites before I format the hard drive

If you are using IE 5 you can use the Import/Export File Wizard (Select Import/Export... from the File menu) to export your favorites to a .htm file, then save this to a floppy disk (or a network drive) and then to retrieve your favorites just use the Import/Export wizard to import the favorites using the file you created. If your using Netscape, then just search for the bookmark.htm file in the Netscape sub-directory and save it to a floppy disk (or network drive) and then replace the bookmark.htm file that is created once Netscape has been installed and run for the first time. Hope this is of help!

Why not just go into the Windows folder and copy the folder called Favourites onto a floppy, then back into the Windows folder, it worked for me.
