has ayone ever purchased those so called space saver bags off the television shopping channel,if not then dont, they are completely useless,i had 2 packs on the buy one get one free offer not one of them has held ,after withdrawing the air out, within 1 hour they are back to full size,so dont be conned as the tv programme know that it would cost more to send them back plus the postage youve already paid to begin with they no you will forget it and keep them.

I completely agree. I bought mine from Woolworths and after sucking the air out, it was all back in within half an hour! Totally useless.
Ive tried a few and the only ones that have held were the JML ones.
I had the same problem with woolworths ones.

I moved house last year and I found a cheaper option. I had towels and duvet etc that were to big. So I found a plastic bag with no holes, don't tell the council but it's ones they supply for recycling that worked the best I put the towels in the bag, sat on the bag to get the air out twisted the end and tied as hard as possiible, it worked wonders some are still tied up now with no air in them months later. For the duvet I rolled up the duvet put a bag on either end of the roll, put packing tape round the middle leaving a small gap without packing tape sat and layed on the duvet to get all the air out and then taped the rest up!
Yep, happened to me too. Mine actually tore, they were that flimsy! The only one that held was one I got at Lakeland many years ago. Shame really, as it's a very good concept if it works.
