I have seen on the web the above camera but it does not say how much internal memory it has or whether the batteries are supplied
Does anyone have this camera and would they recommend it?
Thanks

If so then even though it is 30 I would not even think about buying it.
I am afraid with digital cameras you get what you pay for and this is a no-name make with nothing going for it.
Pay a bit more and get a decent make and a decent camera.

The HP E327 you mention only has DIGITAL zoom, try to get a camera with OPTICAL zoom.
It is important to understand the difference between DIGITAL zoom and OPTICAL zoom.
All DIGITAL zoom does is enlarge the centre of the image, and to do that it has to reduce the quality, so to be honest any camera that only has digital zoom is a waste of time.
OPTICAL zoom has a "proper" lens than zooms in and out making the picture bringing you closer without loss of quality.
So try to get a camera with Optical zoom.
There are certain camera makes that are worth considering such as Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax, Fuji, and so on. Dont go for "no name" makes such as "Premier".
I will give you a couple of suggested cameras on my next append.

Here are two camera from Argos which are both out of stock but are the sort of thing you should be looking for.
If you hunt around you may find them in-store at Argos or at another shop.
Makes of cameras that are being replaced are often reduced in price and places like Argos buy them in bulk to sell them in a "sale".
The first is a Fuji A500 at 49. It is 5mp and has 3x optical zoom.

vhg is right that there are better cameras around, but it really depends what you want one for. Cheap ones are fine for the occasional snap, and they all have enough megapixels to produce halfway decent pictures. Cameras don't usually have much memory of their own, and the standard thing is to get a memory card. If you want something you can play around with, you should be prepared to pay a bit more. I'd certainly go for something with optical zoom myself (ignore digital zoom, it's of very little use) - the standard for small cameras is a 3x zoom, which allows you to get quite a lot closer to people without sticking your camera in their face, or to leave out bits of scenery that are spoiling the picture.
Thanks everyone for your feedback.
I was looking at the premier for 30.
Did not realise the difference between digital and optical zoom so now I am starting from the beginning looking for another camera.
The Fuji a500 looked very good but i cant find it anywhere for the price you quoted.
I am looking for a camera approx 50pounds 5/6pixel with optical zoom and AA battery compartment.
Thanks

The Argos site does say you may be able to pick it up at a local store.
Why not ring nearby Argos stores and see if they have one.
Looking around I notice PC World have the Fuji A510 for 50.00 which has 5.1 pixel and 3x optical zoom and AA batteries.
