iTunes set up icon

Hi! I bought my husband an i-pod but every time he uses the computer to put music on to it, we end up with another itunes icon on our computer screen - we've now got 3! Please can someone explain where he's going wrong and can I just delete the 2 additional icons that have appeared? Thanks you!

Do you keep double-clicking the setup program that you downloaded?

Try accessing iTunes by going through the start menu. start->programs->itunes. Does that stop it?
