Help! SPAM we are deluged!

We have just come back from an afternoon out and found 1954(!) emails - all spam! We have a website and all this spam has been forwarded from there. Please can anyone recommend a way of preventing this.

Start afresh with a new email address, and close the old account.

Consider using a contact form on your website rather than publishing your email address there.

What sort of website do you have? How is the email getting to you?

I run a website with comments. I have good spam protection on them, so I hardly ever have any problems (I use wordpress with akismet).

I also have a comments form, that doesn't give my email address out. Pretty much prevents spam too.
