I know that there are programmes where people come around to your home, declutter it, give it a makeover and make the most of out of the little they've got (space, money) etc, - my question is are there any people that do this for a living ie privately, without having it broadcast to the whole world?

Yes there are. I'm sure someone will give you a website or address but I know these sort of people (money permitting!) are invaluable to sort out your house ensuring a quick sell. This is just one of the things they do. It's called a ' life makeover ' - or something like that.
