Hi I would like to know if there is something I could use to block any calls being made from my landline to mobile phone numbers? My daughter keeps calling her friends and running me up high phone bills. It would mean of course that I couldnt phone a mobile either I guess, but then I can use my own mobile for that so it wouldn't be too much of a problem.
I pay line rental to BT but my calls are with Talk Talk. Has anyone any idea about calling features and costs etc?

I'm not sure you can do that.

How about a simper approach: charge her for her mobile phone calls she makes.
I had this problem. My whole account is with BT and they put a block on all outgoing national calls to landlines outside of the local area and a block on all mobile numbers. This also included calls to premium rate numbers. They will give you a code to unlock it and relock it as required so you can still make outgoing calls yourself. They do charge for the service but it's only about 4 - 5 (I think a quarter but will need to check) but well worth it. Just make sure you keep the code to yourself!!
From the Talk Talk website:

International and premium rate barring is available on request, free of charge. All you need to do is call us on 0870 444 1820 and within 48 hours you will no longer to be able to access these numbers. If anyone attempts to dial one of these numbers from your phone while you have this bar in place, they will hear a message reminding them that these numbers are not available on your service.

I don't know if this will apply to mobile phone numbers, but call and ask.
What I meant about keeping the code to yourself is that they'll need writing down as they're a combination of hash keys numbers and asterisks and the codes are different for locking and unlocking. Wasn't insulting your intelligence! It saved me 150 off my next bill so was definitely worth it.
