PC to Laptop

I would like to know what I need to buy so I can transfer my files from a PC to a laptop

Depends how much you have to transfer and what you already have. Some methods:

Burn files to CD or DVD and copy them from disc onto laptop

As above with USB flash drive or other external device (card reader + card, Hard Drive etc)

If it's only a couple of very small files, eMail

If you have a home network, set up a shared area on the PC and allow your laptop to connect to it - then put the files you want to transfer in the shared area

Crossover network cable or USB transfer cable if machines not already networked

I'd probably use disc or USB drive for sheer ease of use. (Though I am currently watching something on my laptop that is streaming from the shared area on my PC).

if it's a regular thing ... config a network connection ...
you have the internet ... is that through a usb modem - or a router?

i saw this w/end on qvc a product called " THE TORNADO" this allows you to transfer data from one pc to another no problem whatsoever and appeared to be very quick and easy. Check it out on qvc website.
