is there anywhere online where i can input a house number and a postcode and get a full address back?

You can try the Post Office web site but you need to be registered, alternatively, try dogpile.co.uk!

With the postcode and house number you basically have th full address. Put it on an envelope and the PO will get it there. The PO sell CDs with this info on, thats why when you do some transaction on the phone or ina shop they just ask for your postcode and house number. Butthese discs aren't cheap.

Another way is to go to www.streetmap.co.uk, type in the postcode and that will show an arrow pointing to where the postcode is; from that you can get the streetname and town and voila, you know have the full address.

as mylo says, go to royalmail.com, register and go to the 'address finder'

Ive just tried the Streetmap site and it works like a dream. As pinotage said just put in the postcode and you have the street name .No need to register.
