Cardboard Cut-Out

I do accept this may not be trhe right location for the question, but i couldn't decide where else this question would go, media perhaps? but anyway

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what resolution would be suitable for a graphic if i wanted to make a cardboard cut-out approx 5'6" big?

Also does the number of pixels the image is big matter?

I think the question would be better answered with more information i.e what the graphic would be, is it a banner or a actual character cut out that way you could be better directed in the answer...also you need to consider who is prinitng the cutout yourself of a company if it was yourself you need to know the dpi for your printer and what paper you will be printing on there are many factors as you can see rather than just what resolution is reccomended

It would be a cut out of a person, hopefully life size (hence the height). It would be printed by a company that secalises in printing and says it has done many cut outs before. I do get this might not be enough info, perhaps i am better jsut asking the company doing the printing?

You'd need a 12Mp camera at the very least

generally this type of pikkie would still be taken using film
0.25 or 0.5 plate

you need to get a pro photographer with the correct kit
