Sony DVD Recorder rejecting disks
2 Answers
Had my Sony RDRGX120 DVD Recorder for 12 months now. Recently after inserting and waiting for it to load a used recordable disc it has started to flash up on the TV screen "cannot read disc" and displays on the front of the recorder "C 13:00". It doesn't happen to every disc but once it has the disc will not play again.
Can anyone tell me what this code means and am I doing something wrong?
Advice greatly appreciated!!!

Are you using a good brand of media,
is it DVD R or RW,
does the problem happen with all DVDs or just one disc,
does the problem happen with pre recorded discs (silver ones)

Thanks for the info Pug.
Can't remember brand but decent enough. Still using original stack I bought of 10 discs 12 months ago but they haven't been heavily recorded/erased over.
DVD +RW
Hasn't happened with all the discs but about 6 out of the 10 so far. Very annoying when you go to watch something you have recorded and looked forward to.
Problem doesn't occurr with pre-recorded discs, only re-writable ones (so far).
